they have just announced the lineup of artist that will be playing the 1st annual GirlFrenzy concert series at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre in Irvine, CA on October 27th….and I’M PLAYING IT! whoo hoo!
very excited to be a part of this (all girl) concert series with artists like Sheryl Crow, Fionna Apple, Avri Lavigne, Colbie Caillat, Miranda Lambert, Sara Bareillis, and many more…..(YAY!!)
I’m so happy to say that a portion of the Proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and to Breast Cancer Research.
you should all come and support (and rock out to sweet jams)!

Hey guys!
Just wanted to let you know that we’ve have figured something out for all you under-21’ers! If you are under age you CAN come to my show at The Living Room (july 17, 10pm), BUT, you have to come with an adult….but you can still come!!!
Even if you are 18 you have to come with an adult 21 years of age or older….(it’s totally confusing and wierd! but that’s what they told us. try calling them if you have questions…(212) 533-7235)

hey guys,
i just realized that’s it’s been quite a while since i last blogged…..so it’s about time to catch you guys up on what i’ve been doing….
so, i have had a really nice few weeks off! i spent a good amount of time in nyc hanging with good friends and also sometime with my family in virginia….
at first, it was really hard for me to just relax after the spring tour (with joshua radin) ended…..i would wake up and go….”don’t i have to be somewhere? what city are we in? which radio station are we playing?” it really took me about a week and a half to realize it was okay to have a day just resting, traveling, spending time with friends…..i’m definatly the kind of person that is happiest when i’m busy and loves my “work” so i really miss it when i have time off….anyway, needless to say, i’m really excited to get back out on tour!!! and to get back in to the studio to record my record!!! finally!!!
UPDATE on my record:
i am so sorry that i don’t already have my record finished and out there for you guys to have! i wish it was out there too!!! unfortunatly, i’ve been dealing with the “business” side of the “music business” and when you are working with a major label (as i am) there are a lot of politics that go into me making my debut record…..i wish all of this was up to me and i could put out a record right now….but unfortunatly, it’s not all up to me so i am just trying to keep touring and writing and all that, until i get the “go-ahead” to finally make my record. we had orignally planned on getting the record out by the end of this year…..and although there is still a chance that might happen….it’s starting to look like my album will be coming out in the wonderful 2008!
the good news is, that i have wonderful people working with me now and a wonderful team that is supportive and positive….i also have the most wonderful, caring fans! and i am so lucky for that! belive me, i will keep you all posted on exactly what’s going on with the record…..and thank you so much for being patient….!!
in the mean-time, i’m going over to Europe with joshua radin, as he’s touring with tori amos. i will be singing back up for him on the tori tour and opening for him on his 2 headlining shows in london (already sold out).....i have never been to europe so i’m thrilled about that….and spending my birthday over there!!! ahhh…another birthday is coming up and i have to be honest…..i didn’t believe older people when they told me, “one day you will dread getting a year older”......well, my friends, that day has come. i am happy where i am in my life right now….but i don’t want my numbers to keep going up! i still feel 17….there is no way i’m about to turn 25! yikes!

UPDATE ABOUT MY EP:
for those of you that made it out to one of my shows on my tour with joshua radin….you saw that i was selling EP’s at the shows…...i was allowed to sell those cd’s at the shows, but now that the tour is over, i am no longer allowed to sell them. i am so sorry for those of you who were not able to make it to a show, or to those of you that didn’t get a chance to get one…..i wish this stupid political record label stuff wasn’t making it so difficult for me to get my music to you all!
**i can tell you all that i will have a song that i wrote for Reese Witherspoon’s new movie called “Penelope” on the soundtrack for that film out in august…..so there’s that to look forward to! nobody has heard this song, so whoever gets this soundtrack will be the first! i will tell you more about that song and that soundtrack when it gets closer to the release date! i’ve very excited about it!
okay, my friends….
thank you for your continued support…and please know how hard i am fighting to get my record finished and released as soon as i possibly can!! i wish things moved faster with all of this, but i’ve come to realize it is all about the journey…..
that’s why i’m taking lots of video and pictures to document this process…..and i will be able to post videos up for you guys!!! (i haven’t been able to make any lately because my computer crapped out on me….but i think i’m getting a new computer soon!!)

hey guys!
happy to announce a winter tour with JOSHUA RADIN….
i am really hoping that we’ll hit most of your cities!
the tour dates are now posted here on my site and on my myspace page….so be sure to check those out…
i just got back from a wonderful holiday on the east coast with my family. besides the fact that it was unseasonably warm, and instead of snow boots i usually had on flip-flops (oh my gosh, global warming!) it was nice to be away from LA and in the country for a while.
i’m really looking forward to this upcoming tour!
we plan on having a tour log online from the road with updates pictures, videos and blogs from me and the band. should be fun for you guys to kinda be there on the tour with us via internet!
haha. well, at least i know my parents will be excited. haha.
anyway, wishing you all a wonderful, safe, joyous 2007.

i’ve been packing for the last hour or so…..and i hate packing so this blogging is feeling great. we changed our flight last-minute from leaving on wednesday to leaving at 6AM tomorrow…..so i had some stuff to get together…..
VERY excited for some turkey and time to be lazy with my family…
and my dogs…..
when i think of thanksgiving i think of food, board-games, movies, family, friends, good wine, a fire in the fireplace and wrestling with the dogs…....
can’t wait.

okay. so. i’m home now.
but i just had a fatastic couple of weeks on the HOTEL CAFE TOUR…..with awesome people and awesome musicians like JOSHUA RADIN, CARY BROTHERS, MATT COSTA, BUDDY, JOE PURDY, B. WRIGHT, MIHO HATORI, AND BRETT DENNEN!!!!
i’m was so honored to be a part of a tour that was out for such a great cause….and that cause is helping to fight and end AIDS in Africa. As some of you know, the HOTEL CAFE TOUR is sponsored this year by Bono’s organization called (RED). the (RED) campaign just officially launched a few days ago and helps people like you and me do something very little to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us. it allows us to BUY things from certains companies like GAP, MOTOROLA, EMPORIO ARMANI, CONVERSE, APPLE AND MANY MORE…...with a part of the proceeds going to the (RED) campaign…it’s really a wonderful thing and i urge you all to try to get involved and/or just buy a new pair of cute converse that are part of the (RED) product line and you will be helping more than you know. anyway, it was very cool to be a part of a tour with wonderful musicians and a wonderful cause….

ALSO, i had so much fun living in the tour bus with all those boys!!
it really was a cool thing to be playing shows every night in another city, getting to meet so many people that enjoy our music and sleep in tiny little bunks on the bus. i must admit though that the first few nights i was a littel claustrophobic (is that how you spell that word??) ....but after a few days i actually felt very cozy in my little cacoon of a bunk.
i was sad to leave the tour yesterday….but i am really looking forward to the HOTEL CAFE TOUR WRAP UP SHOW Nov. 16th at the HOTEL CAFE here in Los Angeles…....so for you locals i reccomend going to www.hotelcafe.com and buying tickets now. they are pre-selling them which is a great thing…....i have a feeling they will go quick because that night cary brothers and racheal yamagata are playing too….....so HURRY and get you tickets!!!!
i also just wanted to thank you guys for all your support! you have no idea how much all your messages and comments mean to me. AND, although i don’t get a chance to reply to all of them, i DO read them, and they DO mean so much! i love getting your feedback and your opinions and your experiences…..so don’t ever quit writing me!
Also, any of you that feel so inclined, i DO have a tour poster up on my myspace page (www.myspace.com/schuylerfisk) that you can print out and post (which i would SO appriciate!) telling when my next shows are. if any of you bring the posters to the show i would be so honored to sign them for you if you like!
i am currently out of t-shrits but i am going to try to get a few more printed up for the LA show as well as a few more demo ep’s for you guys. i couldn’t beleive how quickly i sold out of all my merch, so i’m going to try to get more printed…....
